TRADITIONAL TOSSA CUISINE is a new initiative launched jointly by the Tossa City Council and various local restaurateurs through which it is intended to recover, make known to the general public and promote traditional local cuisine throughout the year.

The cuisine of Tossa has been clearly marked by the characteristics of the territory where it is found, although it has been the passage of time, the influence of various cultures and the living conditions of its people who have kept it in constant evolution, shaping to Tossa’s own gastronomy, similar to that of neighboring towns, but also with marked differences.

With the desire to recover this little piece of Tossa, the establishments will try to bring them closer to a kitchen, with that traditional flavor. Made with top quality products.

Salt Cod cuisine

The Tourist Office of Tossa, with the support of several restaurateurs in the town, organizes the gastronomic campaign of “La Cuina del Bacallà”,

The restaurants that will take part in the campaign will offer a three-course menu, in which special emphasis will be given to cod, one of the most traditional and versatile ingredients of Lent dishes in our kitchen.
