Tossa de Mar is located in a valley, isolated from the neighboring municipalities by the peaks of the Macizo de Cadiretes – Ardenya, (Puig de Cadires of 519 m, Turó d’en Rosell of 340 m and others). This special location between the sea and the mountains makes Tossa a unique paradise. Lovers of active tourism will find several hiking and mountain biking routes, such as the Camino de Ronda, which runs along the coast and gives access to the different coves and beaches, or the routes that go into the Macizo de Cadiretes.

Biosphere
To turn around tourism management and maintain the leadership of the municipality, the mayor of Tossa signed, on June 19, 2017, a letter of commitment with the Responsible Tourism Institute (ITR), one more step in the on the way to obtaining the Biosphere Destination certificate, which would make the municipality one of the 21 destinations in the world to achieve this category.

THE COSTA BRAVA
The Costa Brava is probably one of the most spectacular and precious natural places in the world. A multitude of coves, small beaches, charming fishing villages, blue water of the sea, contrasting with the yellow sand of the beaches and the green of the forests that practically reach the water.
